Privacy for families

Little learners should be free to play—not followed.

Flori & Luna uses no child accounts, chat, behavioral advertising, or session replay. Progress and stickers stay on the family device.

The short version

We count visits in groups. We do not make a file about you.

We may learn that a game was played ten times or that five people opened a book. We do not know which child did it, follow anyone to another website, or record the screen.

What we count

Code-authored events are added directly to daily totals. They cannot be assembled into an individual visitor history. For our own social links, we count only recognised campaign and post labels—not full query strings. Temporary markers in the current browser tab reduce repeat counts; those markers are not visitor identifiers and are not sent to the server.

  • Pages, stories, Worlds, games, and coloring activities opened
  • Arrivals through recognised Flori & Luna social-post links, grouped by post
  • Games and stories completed
  • Book previews, language choices, and related titles selected
  • Amazon buttons and YouTube channel links clicked, and printables downloaded
  • Adult notification forms opened and successfully submitted

High privacy by default

What analytics never receives

  • A child’s name, age, email, voice, photo, or precise location
  • Cookies, advertising identifiers, session IDs, or cross-site activity
  • IP addresses, browser fingerprints, full referrers, or screen recordings
  • A connection between an adult’s email address and gameplay activity

Progress stays on the device

Game preferences, stickers, coloring progress, and interactive-story progress may use browser storage on the family’s own device. Flori & Luna does not receive those saved records. A grown-up can clear them through the browser’s site-data controls.

Private family game rooms are temporary

Chameleon Hide & Tag lets a grown-up create a private room and share a six-character code with family. Players choose only from generated game names; there is no public room list, chat, voice, profile, or friend system. Cloudflare processes the room code, generated name, connection, and live game positions only to keep that room in sync. The room state is held temporarily and disappears after everyone leaves.

Email is for adults

Notification forms require the person submitting them to confirm they are a parent, guardian, or other adult. The email is kept in the separate notification system, used only for the requested Flori & Luna messages, and is never joined to play activity. Every message includes an unsubscribe link.

Services needed to operate the site

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and provides the security check on adult email forms. Amazon receives a visitor only after a grown-up follows an Amazon link and then applies its own privacy terms. YouTube receives a visitor only after someone follows a YouTube link or chooses to load a video, and Google then applies its own privacy terms. We do not use advertising pixels or sell personal information.

Questions or deletion requests

An adult can use the manage link in any notification email to unsubscribe. For another privacy or deletion request, use the language correction form’s optional reply address and write “privacy request” in the notes; it is reviewed privately and does not create a marketing subscription.
